All About Me
Hi there, my name is Avalon and I'm your not-so-average graduating high school senior (or college freshman depending on how you look at it). I'm a 20-year-old Christian girl who happens to live in the south.Who's behind Simply Avalon?
When I first started this blog in eighth grade I didn't have a place where I could freely speak my mind. I felt stifled by the people around me and wanted a place where I could find myself without the opinions of those around me. In many ways Simply Avalon was a journal of my progress as a person. It wasn't long before I began to find comfort in a different kind of community - a community online.
Around this time I also created my YouTube channel which also allowed me to share beauty and lifestyle-centered content. Both of these platforms gave me an opportunity to grow more confident in myself and see the crazy opportunities that are open to those willing to put in the time and effort to find them.
Now as I look to complete my third year of college I cannot wait to take you along the ride and blog along the way.

I never want the communication to end here at my blog because, in the end, I don't want the growth to end with me. I know you've probably seen this on every blog - bloggers asking readers to reach out and connect. I wish I could say that I was different, but I'm not.
